|Zaki Tentacle Garden||Disintegrator Gate|
The Disintegrator Gate is basically the purchasable equivalent of the Zaki Tentacle Garden. It costs 150 Doves , shares the exact same stats, and can be purchased even if you already have the Zaki Tentacle Garden.
Since the Disintegrator Gate shares the same stats as the Zaki Tentacle Garden, there really isn't much new to be said. Make sure it's near important rooms like the Shield Generator and Fusion Reactor or near a Lift. The Innate Armor still applies and since the room is 2x2, it can't be locked down as easily due to the extra Crew it can hold. Modules can also be equipped onto this room, further increasing its effectiveness.
When To Use
Just like the Zaki Tentacle Garden, the usefulness of the Disintegrator Gate is up to individual preference and play style. Most would find it hard to justify spending 150 Doves on a 2x2, 3 power trap room. However, if enemy boarders are a massive problem, the Disintegrator Gate can provide some additional protection.
Since the Disintegrator Gate only deals damage to enemy boarders, it doesn’t need power if the enemy doesn't have an active Teleport. Below is an AI command that will automatically depower the Disintegrator Gate if the enemy doesn't have an active Teleport. Also, the Disintegrator Gate is counted as a "Security Room" in AI coding.
Enemy Teleport HP > 0% -> Set Maximum Power None -> Set Zero Power
A slightly more complicated version of the above AI command will power the Disintegrator Gate if the enemy crew are in the enemy's Teleport. This command requires Python 3.X.
None -> Target Enemy Teleport Target Room Has Enemy -> Set Maximum Power None -> Set Zero Power
The Disintegrator Gate cannot be buffed with crew.
