The Android Studio is a supporting/offensive room that specializes in the production of Androids. These Androids range in purpose, but they are generalized by main stat. There are Service, Defender, Boarder, and Mini Androids for you to research and build. Only two droids can be out at any time.
The Android Studio only has one Android for boarding, the Boarder Droid. It's decent in stats but it is easily replaced by actual crew. In combat you should get either Service Droids or Defender Droids, and make sure to power the studio when all repair crew are dead or when the boarders start to overwhelm you.
Many players do not target the Android Studio with AI because not many people use it. Make sure it's still armored as it only has 3 Power. Remember to stock up on Androids aswell before you leave, because if you don't have any it'll still power but will do nothing. Make sure to give it this AI aswell for more power conservation.
Any Room HP > 100% -> Set Maximum Power None -> Set Minimum Power
When To Use
Generally, the Android Studio is not a necessity for the Boarder strategy. The Service Droids might come in handy though as many of your crew will be boarding or be a rusher. If you have a Hangar in your ship with the teleporter, don't use the Android Studio.
Hangar Spam Strat
The Android Studio's use in Hangar Spam is up to your repair crew. If you find that your being too easily overwhelmed by boarders, make sure to have the Android Studio onboard to produce some Defender Droids. If your gonna pair up the Hangar and Teleporter, don't use the Android Studio.
This strategy is used in many lower level ships so they don't even have the option to build an Android Studio. Still, if your high enough level with the strategy it's up to you. It'll help boost your defensive capabilities but it will take up power and space which could be used for weapons.
